Q. How are the credentials for connecting to systems (secrets) stored?#
Dataflow requires user credentials to gain access to protected systems (like SuccessFactors Systems).
All the sensitive credentials data (secrets) provided by users to connect to a system are stored in encrypted form with the help of AWS Secrets Manager (a service trusted by the best of the industry for securely managing sensitive data).
We never log or save any sensitive data points like credentials in plain text form.
All other data points like query log history, bookmarks, etc. are stored in our database (also on AWS).
Q. Where are the servers and database hosted?#
All our servers and database are on AWS Central Europe region i.e. Frankfurt, Germany.
Q. Do we store the data you query using Dataflow?#
No. We do not persist any of your connected system's data that you fetch using Dataflow in our servers.
All the data you fetch including the metadata are all kept in your browser for your session and purged after that.
We do store the query url for displaying your history of queries and bookmarks that you save.
